Property use and development is guided by the Town’s Official Plan, a comprehensive, long-range planning document designed to guide and direct future growth in a logical and orderly manner to the benefits of all residents.The Plan is supplemented by the municipality’s Zoning Bylaw, which regulates how land and buildings are used, the location of buildings, lot coverage, building heights and other provisions necessary to ensure proper development.There are a couple of things that set KL apart when it comes to planning.
-
We don't charge development fees;
-
Our planning and building fees are user friendly, meaning you put your money your business, not our pockets;
-
We offer customized service. Our Planning Services Department will work with you through every step of the process, and help you as needed with your plans, permits etc.
