Want some down time while visiting Kirkland Lake? Green spaces and family fun spots are within easy reach. 

KL is home to many parks and parkettes. The main ones are Culver Park where you can fish, boat and enjoy a day at the beach. Swastika Fireman's Park offers a leisurely stroll by the Blanche River and the opportunity to feed ducks and geese. Kinross Park has a one kilometer paved walking trail around a pond. Be sure to try out the fitness stations placed along the trail! Civic Park is the town's main outdoor event centre and offers tennis courts, open fields and equipment to rent. During the summer months, there is regularly scheduled Food Market as well. Organized sports are frequently held at Baird Park next to the Community Complex on Allen Avenue. Looking for something more interactive and exciting to keep the kids (and adults) engaged? Then visit the Splashpark, the Extreme Park and the Aquatic Centre. These are all located near the Community Complex, and are true family favourites!
